Galavanting around Paris… and calling it working
August 22nd, 2012

So I was sent off the Paris, Charles de Gaulle airport for work due to a last minute pilot strike there. I gave up two days at Alton Towers for it so was determined to make it worth my while. On the first day I worked flat out for over 12 hours! In return I got the next day off and me and Varun went into central Paris. We have been before in March so roughly knew our way around. We headed to Notre Dame and walked around the small lanes, eating and drinking as we went.

It was lovely drinking in the sun and sights for a day. And this was my working week, alas I am now back at my desk in Gatwick Airport looking out the window and dreaming of Paris…

Hair Bow Pony Tail…
August 20th, 2012

So yesterday I visited my Nan and Grandad and we headed down to Leigh-on-Sea with my Brother and Murphy in tow. We listened to live music and ate seafood at the fishing festival on the sea front. With the lovely weather overhead it was devine :) When we got back we had a lovely roast dinner and sat and had tea and biscuits in the garden. My Nan was chuffed with her how her tomatoes were coming along.

I love my Nan’s garden. She has a large tree down some steps at the bottom and my Grandad has nailed two eyes and a moustache to it! Nan explained to me yesterday that it was actually a mini christmas tree that she had bought years ago for £2.99 and after christmas had decided just to plant it outside and a mahoosive tree is what happened!! Theres a wonderful mish-mash of plants outside and I always get some great tips.

Now I have my own garden I can start planting and growing :) I can’t wait to get some hanging baskets!Over tea and biscuits me, Nan, Mum and my Great Aunt discussed the usual; knitting, sewing, planting, decorating, crocheting etc. I was messing around with hair styles as the bun I had in was getting too heavy after the long day I had.

And came up with this Hair Bow Pony Tail. Its so easy and looks really cool. A bit Lady Gaga-ish if you like. I will try and take some pictures and make a photo tutorial but for now you can do it by making a forward facing ponytail but only pulling the hair half way through. Then split the hair that has gone through the hair tie to create two halves of the bow. Then pull the remaining hair that didn’t go through the hair tie back over the middle of the two halves and pin down. There you have it! So easy!

Murphy had a great time getting cuddles and biscuits! You can even see the ‘christmas tree’ in the background there.

Me, lately….
August 10th, 2012

Hello again, I realise you’ve probably forgotten who I am but I’m hoping to come back in full force. Sorry for being so lazy with posting lately but I’ll show you why in pictures:

Firstly, we moved house :) a very exciting time however we had only the on day to do it all due to work! A very busy time at the airport at the moment, what with it being summer and the Olympics in London. We have moved to a lovely (and quiet!) town called Handcross, to a three bedroom three storey house with a small garden. Murph loves it!

First things first to make our house a home, the smell of homemade baking. Here are my Chocolate Fondant Cupcakes made from the Hummingbird Bakery recipe. You can find this in their Baking Days cook book.

And then there was my short trip to Faro, Portugal. Such a lovely shot of this street in the old town. It is actually a Santander bank!! I went along with my Mum and Brother to crash their holiday.
Alas, now I am back and raring to craft!!
