Caterpillar grapes and Ardingly antiques fair…
September 7th, 2012
Yesterday we went along to Ardingly antiques fair at the South of England Showground. I don’t know what we were expecting but it was great! It was so big! We could have spent all day there so next time we will :) Murphy came along too although he was very distracted by all the people and other dogs. At one point he even peed on a little terrier’s face!! I think he was trying to claim him as his ‘territory’ but I was mortified. Swiftly moving on, we made two purchases. A lovely distressed sideboard for our hallway and a cute old Oyster crate. I think I have decided I want to put jars of flowers in it. We’ve placed the sideboard in the hallway with the fish tank on top and it looks stunning as a feature as soon as you walk into our house. The Oyster crate is especially good as it is from a company based in Colchester, Essex close to my hometown.
I also got to making some caterpillar grapes as the sun outside was inspiring me to eat in the garden. They are very easy to make. Place a skewer through the middle of a handful of grapes, lengthways, until the stick is full. Then place two small blobs of icing on the top to stick the chocolate drop ‘eyes’ on. And there you have it! So easy…
