Trying new things…
May 26th, 2012
For the past couple of months we have passed by a lovely looking Malaysian restaurant on our way to work. It looked so lovely and we vowed to one day visit for our dinner. A week or so ago we managed to find the time and sat down at a window seat. Sadly it only looked out onto an industrial estate but it was nice none the less. We were the only two people in the restauant as it is rather small and out of the way from the town but the decor was beautiful and the staff were very friendly. We found from the menu that the cuisine is very similar to that in Bali, Indonesia which made us very happy people!
Above is a picture of my meal, Nasi Goreng. Translated it simply means Rice Fried. It was perfect, very big portions and a lovely atmosphere. Varun had Mie Goreng which trasnlated means Noodles Fired.
If you are ever in Crawley, West Sussex visit Maya for a truly authentic Malaysian meal.
