I’m Charlotte, a full time Crew Dispatch Officer for an airline called easyJet. I used to be a flight attendant and I also worked in the operations department. My boyfriend is a pilot which is obviously how we met. In my spare time I like to knit, bake cakes, sew etc. I love making old things look new.    BaconFlavouredJam.com first came about as an idea in December 2011, originally coming about as a new year’s resolution. Sitting on the sofa at my parents’ house we went around the room asking everyone for their new year’s resolutions and as the finger pointed at me it seems like the perfect idea. From there my boyfriend has helped me with the ‘technical’ side of building a website and I’ve inputted the ‘pretty’ things.

My main craft and talent is knitting although I do like to dabble in sewing, baking, crocheting, crafting etc. I want my blog to show people out there who may be sceptical of knitting that it can be fashionable and modern. When I tell peple I love to knit they normally giggle and ask how old I am. They need to get over it and realise it is back up and coming and making things for yourself, especially clothes, can be so exciting.

   One question I think you may all have on your lips is ‘why BaconFlavouredJam?’ and rightly so. To the untrained eye it sounds very strange indeed! My surname is Bacon and my boyfriend’s surname is Jamnadass so we both would chuckle about having food in our last names. We always did joke that one day we would create a bacon flavoured jam…..
